History
This magnificent city was founded around 500 years ago and since then it growing at a fast pace. Once it was one of the most wealthiest princely states of India. Several rulers such as Muhammad Quli Shah, the Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb and Asaf Jah I ruled over this place and left their impressions on its culture.
Charminar
Truly an architectural marvel, Charminar is a must-visit attraction of Hyderabad. Its foundation was laid by Mohammad Quli Qutab Shah in 1591. Its Cazia style of architecture and exquisite carvings leave the onlookers spell bound. There is a nobleĀ legend attached to it.
Golconda Fort

Chowmahalla Palace
Luxurious to the hilt, this palace reflects the perfect combination of different architectural styles. Once the abode of the Nizam, this palace has many apartments, each having its own attractions to offer. Maintained flawlessly, the palace was built in 1750.
Falaknuma Palace
Built in 1884, Falaknuma Palace is beautifully modeled in the form of a Scorpio. Made entirely in Italian marble, the palace is famous all over the world for its rareĀ Jade (an ornamental stone) collection. There are many attractions in the palace.
Shopping
The most famous shopping item in Hyderabad is pearl. Apart from the beautiful and shinning pearls and other precious stones, the city offers wonderful paintings, Kondapalli toys, bags, shoes, Bidri metal craft and Banjara mirror work. Another specialty of the city is 'Zardozi' embroidery work.
The best places for shopping in the city are Basheerbagh, Abids and Nampally. Laad bazaar and Begum bazaar are the two famous shopping spots in the city.
Cuisine
Hyderabadi cuisine is a combination of Mughalai cuisine and Persian cuisine. The most famous dish of this city is Hyderabadi Biryani. Some of the other famous culinary delights that the city offers are Qubani ka meetha, phirni, nahari kulche(non-vegetarian), kaddu ki kheer, sheer Qorma, mirchi ka saalan, til ki chutney and kheema aaloo.
