Nestled in the picturesque Kerala, Devikulam is a hill resort located around 16 km from Munnar. Enjoy its peaceful ambiance and scenic beauty and live your holidays to its fullest. It is located at an altitude of 1800 m above sea level offering breathtaking views of the surroundings.

The term Devikulam literally means 'the pond or lake of the Devi'. The legend goes that Goddess Sita, consort of Lord Rama bathed in the lake at Devikulam. Hence the lake was named as Sita Devi lake. It is believed that the waters of the lake possess curative powers. Tourists come from far and wide to take a dip in the sacred lake. The lake is surrounded by the beautiful trees and flowering shrubs.

Located near the lake is the mesmerizing Pallivasal Waterfalls, which is a famous picnic site. Picnickers come here to spend some quality time in the lap of mother nature. The gum trees in red and blue at Devikulam look awesome.

Reflecting the natural beauty of Kerala, Devikulam offers wonderful springs, lakes, fruit trees, tea, coffee and spice gardens, wildlife and melodious songbirds to offer pleasure in plenty. A visit to the refreshing tea and coffee gardens can be very rejuvenating.

Tourists can even go on a few excursions from Devikulam. Munnar, a famed hill station is located only a few kilometers from Devikulam. It offers not only sheer natural beauty but also exciting adventure sports such as trekking, boating, riding and fishing. If you are inclined towards wildlife, then visit the Chinnar Wildlife Sanctuary ,which is situated only 50 km from Devikulam. It is a home to a variety of wildlife such as elephants, sambars, leopards and gaurs.
