General Advice while visiting Holy Places

First of all we would like to thank you wholeheartedly for visiting our site. India is synonymous with traditions and religion and the Indian culture and the Western culture are poles apart. So while visiting this beautiful country kindly show respect to its culture. When you visit the holy places we advice you to dress according to the culture. Both men and women should wear clothing that covers knees and shoulders. One is expected to dress modestly. Remove your shoes when entering the temples and Mosques. Kindly avoid any public display of affection.

According to the Hindu culture the offering of prasad(sacred food) should never be refused. It is believed that prasad is a form of God's blessing which must always be taken with right hand. In case the prasad consists of heavy items such as coconut, then both hands should be used.

Happy journey!
